THE LORE OF THE LAND AND THE LOVE OF THE LOCAL…

One of the most exhilarating things about having been part of Dragonrise Camp in one way or another since its inception is to see the community gain depth and breadth. Even at the very first camp in 2009 (back when we were Sunrise), campers came from as far away as Seattle and as near as a 20 minute car ride.
What is especially exciting about the upcoming Dragonrise Camp, which runs Wednesday 7 August through Sunday 11 August at our permanent(ish) location Wildways on the Borle, is its home-grown component.
The story, for example: The Untamed Heart, which asks Have you ever been an outsider? Have you ever wanted to be truly wild?
Based on local lore and folk tales collected over time by Loupgarou, The Untamed Heart feels shiveringly close to the land upon which we’ll make magic this coming August.
We hope you’ll be there. Watch this space, and our Facebook page, for upcoming announcements of the teaching team and camp enrolment information, as well as tantalising tidbits of local lore!
